Re: Octane and AMD?

Hi Beppe
Long time

I am thinking of switching to OCTANE X Prime (free tier) PR14 as I am still running Monterrey and Cinema 4D r26. Not really using Octane lately so I'd like to save the subscription money.

If I get to need using both cards in the near future I could get my Studio subscription ...

Re: NEW: Octane X - is finally here! [MEGA FAQ THREAD]

I'm talking for a developer not Otoy. Because I'm writing the plugin and facing the problems with Apple updates and doesn't allow to use old development tools in new operation systems. This is a shame for my opinion, you can't see this problem on Windows. I can easily support every C4D version ...

Re: NEW: Octane X - is finally here! [MEGA FAQ THREAD]

Please dev team, Hotfix Octane for C4D 2024 on Mac Sonoma! Or at least, give us a release time frame. "A couple of days" is too vague. Some of us don't have the luxury of holding off major OS updates. Like me, Sonoma was pushed through due to mandatory security updates, leaving (payed) 3D work on ...

have you tried to save the project with assets, before loading the scene in Live View?

ciao,

OK, yes Beppe, that works.

I do not normally save scenes with assets, just "save scene" so I am not familiar with this particular workflow.
Thanks

Re: Asset Browser Textures not working in Octane MacOS

No, PR14 is still based on 2020.1.5 SDK.
We need to wait for the new upcoming version based on the new 2022.1-XB1 SDK or greater, to have both Metal and CUDA versions in pair.

ciao,
Beppe

Hi Beppe, I am having this issue with the asset browser objects, textures are not rendered. Is there a way ...

Re: NEW: Octane X - is finally here! [MEGA FAQ THREAD]

Hi Beppe
¿Any update regarding C4D OctaneX plug-in?

Ok, let's try to do a recap.

It was not possible to have a single OctaneX version supporting any type of Mac's GPU, so from some time, the OctaneX project has been divided in two:
OctaneX PR versions for AMD GPUs (Vega, Navi, Big Navi ...
