I came years after this original post. In your example file you use actual geometry to scatter point on. Just found out that if you have only point octane scatter doesnt work in houdini. This makes no fing sense, since this is mostly use to scatter geo on just points....

Id love to play with the new caustics engine and evrything new in 2022 and even make content you could use as a demo.

I was looking information on how to setup an octane render slave over the internet, if this is even possible.
My master node and render slave are not in the same network at all, and i cant find a way to input the ip adress of my master node in the slave setup.
