Can't believe the addon is finally here, going to play around with it more later today. So far, loading in my old scenes or even importing characters crashes to desktop instantly.

Re: Blender Octane final render is different than viewer
I think/hope that they've addressed that issue in 3.2.

Re: Blender Octane final render is different than viewer
Looks like Blender 3.2 has color management options for the Image -> Save As window. So this issue should resolve itself whenever Octane is updated for 3.2.

Alpha Channel: Keep Environment bugs interactive render
In both 26.3 & 27.0, having Keep Environment enabled under Alpha channel in the render settings causes the interactive render to not display anything until the render is completed.
Bonus bug report: Clicking Show Octane Viewport crashes the Octane server on 27.0.

Re: Blender Octane final render is different than viewer
Maybe those settings work fine for you, but are not the best option.
1. Best Color Management settings:
* Display Device: sRGB
* View Transform: RAW
* Look: None
* Exposure: 0.0
* Gamma: 1.0

Re: Particle hair slow to render?
Can we have any insight on Octane particle hair performance in Blender for the 2022 addon version? I don't mean to be annoying but I'm struggling to make sense of this performance.
Using the latest version of 26.3, the attached render used 30gb ram and only 18gb without hair.

Re: Particle hair slow to render?
I'm definitely seeing issues with Octane and particle hair. The huge build times aside, rendering particle hair seems to be consuming an insane amount of memory. With Cycles, I can render 7 characters with particle hair. In Octane, using the exact same characters/texture maps, I can only render 3 ...

Re: Lights Are Broken When Duplicating in 26.1
There seems to be another bug with duplicating lights. Duplicated lights have default values in texture emission node rather than being a copy of the target light.

Use Nodes lights object data properties not functioning
The side panel for area lights doesn't seem to work. The only way to use lights is by having the shader window open. The material properties window seems to work fine however including the texture emission node.
Using the latest 3.1.2.
Thanks
