Perfect... that did it mate!!
So Daz essentially writes out an incomplete ABC
Cinema and Octane together must be "completing it in in some fashion.
I'll reach out to Daz
MANY Thanks Beppe

Re: Is it possible to extract the geometry.abc out of the ORBX?
I realize my more simple question might be..
When you use geometry exporter on an abc file and write out an abc file... does it include the animation?
or
If you unpack it... does it rewrite anything or just "unpack" originals.
Secretly hoping Octane's rewriting of the abc fixes the issue of not ...

Re: Is it possible to extract the geometry.abc out of the ORBX?
Thats good to know it works in Cinema Bepe. Thanks.
Are you able to export it from the standalone using the geometry node and create a NEW ABC node that has animation in it?
I am trying to ge an ABC into Blender that I can use a particualr addon with. So it has to work in blender and my original ...

Bepe
I have a diff issue :>))
I have an ABC file in the standalone that works. Yaaaaa!!!
(I have tried IMPORTING the same ABC file into blender and maya and it is unable to import. This could be because the abc exporter from Daz Studio 3d is a bit flakey :>)))) So I am guessing the Daz "type" of ...

Re: ABC Files not fully loading when batch rendering
Will do Beppe
I hate to admit it but I think it may be a case of "time for a fresh install of windows Peter!" Too many little things that do not usually happen with octane for it to be an octane thing.
I am just putting it off cause I can get done what I need most of the time :>)) and I hate ...

ABC Files not fully loading when batch rendering
Standalone 2025.4 ( I have to run this version as anything higher will not launch since the launching method changed heading to 2026)
I have loaded a few very large abc files. 7-21GB
Both do not render the abc all the way. As I scroll though the timeline it will be blank unless I make a big enough ...

Re: No World Creator any more?
You may not have made the same mistake I first made... I tried to run my old version of creator and it said the saime thing.
I had to download the latest version (from the prime day sale) and even re-member myself on the world creator site etc then get my license.
It is kind of convoluted the way yo ...

Re: server 31.2 not launching
Thanks I did that and there is only the last one I installed
octane server.exe
this has public and private selected
are you suggesting that I delete that one as well by any chance?
I am a bit naive when it comes to firewalls etc.

Re: server 31.2 not launching
thanks
I also install out of the program fdr.
I checked the firewall...
I have multiple entries that just say octane server
One that says octane server.exe
(I made them all private and public..... is that best? Should they be off?)
I have deleted all dirs that contain any server files
restarted ...
