Solved.

It was the aspect ratio that was mismatched from projection camera in the texture projection node.

And then a numerical value of -4 in the Z scale, which seems kind of random.

I only happened upon it by searching here on the forum for other camera mapping entries.

Hi,

Does anyone know if there is a limitation within the C4D Octane plugin when using an image sequence for projection mapping?
For instance, is there a maximum frame count that it can hold?

The viewport for both C4D and the Octane renderer work fine when projecting single frames as a texture via ...

Hello,

Does anyone know of a way to retain the 'front' mapping option and have it viewable within the live viewer and Octane renders?

In the Standard renderer, this is a useful parameter if using multiple cameras to project. Particularly if you use another material as a base.

Converting Octane materials back to C4D materials

Hello,

Is there a way to achieve this with multiple materials?

I'm after a process that can reverse engineer an octane material back to a C4D material with ease.
Much like the Octane 'convert material' function but in reverse.

Most of my library custom shaders are set up for the Octane renderer ...

C4D Take system integration

Hello,

Is the take system within C4D compatible with Octane plugin?

I'm currently on C4D R20 and using Octane 2019.1.4 -R2.

I can't get the render pass file entry to work correctly.

If it doesn't work, any chance of it being looked at in the future?

It's really useful for setting up renders ...

Is the standalone version the only one available or are the plugin modules linked anywhere?
I assumed the C4D plugin would be available since the press release makes a point of noise shader functionality.

Does anyone have an approach to this within the C4D plugin as opposed to Octane Standalone?

I'm trying to achieve a view of a planet but can't seem to hit the mark.

One work around is to group the scene and camera into a null object and then rotate that so the planet comes into view but it isn't ...
