IMO even if the raw source code seems different, the project's workflow looks much like simply being coppied from RS (except material nodes which look more Max-like).

Dunno how many Blender users are going to turn their back on RS, but I'm personally going to support Octane as long as it's possible.

Yeah it looks very strange to me too...

Maybe someone from the "team" would give us a small insight of what is it all about because new Blender renderer looks almost EXACTLY the same as Octane...
