Re: OctaneRender® for 3ds max® v3.05 - 4.30 [STABLE]

How stable is that going to be?
For the sake of this amount of waiting it should be rock solid isn't it? Maybe it's V4 way ahead of standalone.

Seriously, How hard it really is adapting new build in to Max. Could someone shed a light on that?
How come C4D or Maya can have quick releases. What is ...

Re: rond circle (shadow) on my renders

How can I remove this?
Thanks.

Seems like your Hdri is cropped. Change your hdri to a different one and reset your hdri transformation values.

Re: OctaneRender® for 3ds max® v3.05 - 4.30 [STABLE]

Because it has been tried and failed many times.
Workload wise and due to some problem I'm umaware of Haze once said that max plugin adptation is somehow takes more time to do it.

I remember not having viewport textures for months. And hasnt been corrected quite long time.

I support lesser test builds but more stable updates.
We've seen bugs not fixed for loong time. But you do want to have the new features.
So i opt for stable builds.

Re: Boot problem with more then 5 GPUs and Asus WS-EX99Mainboard

itou31, enabling 4D decoding was the solution.
Smicha and Glimpse have also be so kind to point on this.
Thank you everybody. For all users who are wandering about where to find this feature in the Bios. It is located in the Boot menu.
Nice to see you've sorted it out. I do have an air cooled case ...

Re: Output RGB channels?

You are just missing the fact that 3dsmax implementations are way far behind the current GPU renderer wars.
Max plugin seems like to continue being no more than only an adaptation of the standalone.. And quite possibly will not have it's own integration to the max native system like cinema 4d
It's ...

Re: Perspective Match

On top of what Jimstar has said,
Do not use XYZ perspective match. Use XY. That way max persp camera will not scale non-uniformly. (I guess)

Quick tip.
Once you match the perspective view. Go to view. Save current view.
Some times the roll angle changes. You'll have a saved view angle. And then ...

Re: Archiviz Glass?

Main principle in these scenarios if you fake it it wil not look like Peter's image. Think of that glass is a double/triple glazed window.
Do the model accordingly.
Then you'll have nice reflect and refractions. Do not rely on livedb materials most are not made by professionals.
Make inner glases ...
