Hi BK,
Tried the settings but it didn't help. I sent a PM. Let me know if you didn't get it.
Thanks,
Jeff

Fireflies Help
Hi,
Looking for help on eliminating fireflies. This tutorial is ancient and the current Maya Octane doesn't work like this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=69jJtkPIFrQ
I get the same if I'm using an HDRI or Day Light Environment. I'm using Path Tracing with Adaptive Sampling enabled but changing ...

Python Code to Select Existing Kernel in Maya Octane
Hi,
Does anyone have a tip on how to select an existing Kernel or Environment that I've already set up? I have Python code to create all the Render settings nodes. The following Python code sets the render to Octane but I can't find any examples of how to select the Render Settings once that's set ...

Frames Render With Different Brightness
Hi,
Trying to do a test render in Maya 2023 and latest Octane, and I get different brightness or patterns between frames. I'm using a Quadro P4000 and Quadro K4000. I've tried turning them on and off but I get the same render output. Any ideas on what causes this?
Thanks,
Jeff

Maya Documentation Update
Any idea of when the Maya documentation will be updated? Many things have changed since the 2019 document. Not seeing anything new in YouTube for a while.
Does anyone have web sites or training sources for Maya and Octane?

Re: Camera Aperture Line In Render Object?
I learned what was causing this mysterious white plane is. I had checked "Convert to Octane plane". Turned it off and it went away. Had to change the Image Plane to an Octane material manually.
Does anyone have any insight when we will get updated documentation for Octane for Maya? Nothing anywhere ...

Re: Camera Aperture Line In Render Object?
Hi
I have the reason this line shows up. It has to do with the height of the camera which moves the image plane. When I moved the camera down to below the base of the statue, the line went away.
My question now is, what is this white barrier? I can't select it or add any materials to it ...

Camera Aperture Line In Render Object?
Hi,
I'm getting this line running horizontally through my FBX object. It's noticeably darker below this line. I think it's part of the Aperture setting. It doesn't show on the wall image plane I have in the background. It only shows on the geometry rendered from my FBX object.

Re: Camera Focus Help
Yes, that did the trick. I opened up the Octane settings on the camera object. Opened up the Thin lenses camera, since that is what I am using and set the Aperture to zero.
Really appreciate the tip!
Thanks,
Jeff

Hi,
