Gaussian Splat Additional Features

The 2026 implementation of Splats is already amazing, I'd personally love to see 2 things added in functionality (if possible) to really take it over the top and those are:
1. Clipping material interacts with the splats.|
Currently there aren't the best tools out there to clean up splats but having ...

Re: OctaneRender® 2026.1 Alpha 3 [current 2026.1]

Loving the latest!

Was super hopeful that clipping materials would work out of the box with gaussian splats. Currently there aren't really any tools to really finesse a splat and clean them up nicely, having clipping materials applied to prims to really drive home a nice clean up would be great!

Rounded Edges in Tangent Normals AOV

Hello!
I was redirected here, but I would absolutely love (the world would also) if we could get the rounded edges information in the tangent normals pass. Currently you can see it in the smooth/shading normals, but I would love the ability to have this to use for GLB GLTFs by baking into the ...

Re: Cinema4D 2022.1-[R2] (Latest stable) (10.12.2022)

As I'm sure it's probably noted, the new light linking is a bit finicky for certain things. Especially hierarchy elements like an object used, then if a deformer added it breaks the connection. Same for a generator like a connect - if the hierarchy is under the connect it breaks but if under the geo ...

Shape Field no Shape Option Available

For the new field textures (plane, angle, sphere, shape) the Cinema Shape field texture doesnt have a geo input. Is this something that hasn't been added or is there another way around it. Stand alone has the shape entry - without it, you cant really use the field?

READ THIS

Thanks!
This is a start, in the sense that the "groups - enable disable" would help, but currently in the stable version the only working method is multiple geometry designates to either group one or group two based on ...

Re: X Particles "Render Geometry" doesn't work when use GROUPS

I may be missing something, in 2021.1.6 R4 this "disable groups" doesnt show up in the particle object tag - if you use multiple geo though it designates secondary instances to the secondary object in the list, is this to say you can only instance a single piece of geo per group if there are ...

Re: X-Particles Multiple Group Particle Rendering

works fine on S22 with Octane 2020.1.5
But not at all for R26 and 2023 with Octane 2021.1.6 and 2022

X-Particles Multiple Group Particle Rendering

I guess I never noticed, but attempting to render a super basic particle simulation with particles moving from one group to another, the particles can only render through a single group channel. Maybe behind the scenes the channel input technically switches to another emitter idk? None the less, you ...
