I am buying a laptop , I looked into the OCTANE BENCH, seems like Laptop RTX are scoring higher than their TI's counterparts.

Thanks, Paul, I tried to adjust the Fake shadow and other Specular parameters, without success.

I have a weird issue: it seems the backplate option for the background doesn't appear through the holes behind a part with a specular shader.
On the render attached: the holes should be displayed full black, yet they are white ( displaying the HDRI ? )

Any options?

You can try to clean up your background processes before starting Blender: CTRL+ALT+SUPR / task Manager/ then click right and end processes you deem unnecessary.
I "feel" that some processes can spike the 3D card usage at times. I have this issue on Octane for rhino and before Blender.

So for some other reasons I ended up rebooting the OS with a fresh install of Windows 10 + latest Nvidia "Studio" Driver.
It is stable, even if I happen to notice a slow in performance while browsing Materials , especially especially with spectacular ones.

I have installed 2019.1.4.115 and 2019.1.4.114,
Prior to this installation the model gave me a Cuda core issue, which is why I upgraded it with the Nvidia driver to 441.41.

So I have this scene to replicate an Apple User office, with Macbook pro / screen etc.

Rhino is crashing everytime I use the Material Library, I guess, this is due to the Octane render plugIn, but I couldn't tell for sure.

I am fairly new with OCtane, I work on rhino, I usually model and render for product design.

I can't get rid of the Light reflection around the chair's wheels, anyone have a suggestion to correct that flaw ?

I use Rhino, Octane 4, on Ray Path Kernel.
