It's super simple issue:
Whenever you have absolute path to VDB it runs great .
Whenever you have relative path to VDB it runs bad .
We've been having this issue on all our shots and we're forced to use absolute paths which is very inconvenient.

Allow for new materials to be spawned into current active layer
Hello,
would it be possible to add feature where new materials spawn directly into the active layer, same way as the C4D does with it's native mats? Maybe also add a checkbox into settings so artists can choose whether then want it ON/OFF?

For the past two months Octane is often not able to initialize on program startup
This is a an issue that has been prevalent for the past 2 months in our studio. Either something is wrong with our network or something wrong is with Octane servers. We're getting these errors several times a day and starting C4D with Octane feels like starting old lawn mower, takes a couple of ...

Re: Light IDs on collections?
You can change any attribute for multiple selected objects by simply pressing "Alt" when editing it.
Yeah. But problem with this solution is that it requires constant maintenance .
Whenever we bring any new object to existing collection we HAVE to adjust their LID properties accordingly. This ...

Re: Render pause
Awesome! This feature is really missing. After 6 years I'm transitioning from C4D+Octane to Blender+Octane and the missing pause button the Cycles has is bad.

Light IDs on collections?
Hello,
I'd like to have a single place where I say "okay this collection and all it's children will use Light ID 5, 10 and 12" and whatever I put into this collection receives these properties - same as as in C4D for example where all children inherit these properties.
But at this point it seems I ...

OctaneServer Prime crashing multiple times a day on multiple machines
Hello,
our studio is planning to transiton from Cycles to Octane in Blender but after week of testing we found that the OctaneServer Prime is extremely unstable and causes Octane in Blender to stop working at random times.
We don't know what to do about this since the app is properly signed in and ...

Re: Displacement node doesn't recognize .dds file format
I'm surprised more artists aren't using .dds when it makes octane live viewer startup this much faster. In some cases I measured 4 times faster octane startup time compared to .png and .jpg formats.

Re: Displacement node doesn't recognize .dds file format
I think I'm getting confused a bit here. You're trying to explain that .dds isn't supported by Octane Displacement node because no artists would really ever consider .dds as an texture input for the Displacement node and would rather stick to formats like .exr? If that's the case then I understand ...

Re: Displacement node doesn't recognize .dds file format
I just carpet bombed my scenes with .dds conversion. I've been using .jpg and .png images up to this point and then our TD said "try .dds, it's faster" and I conducted the following test which had absolutely bonkers results.
