Thanks Chris, for now I went with Octane Material overrides for the Octane Render view. The material itself uses tons of material functions so you nailed that the issue is with custom code.
The warning system would be huge help.

Re: Materials/Textures Grey in Octane Render
Hi actually I am not sure I can as it is a paid material from the Reallusion Unreal Live link converter.
I can however say it is a masked material with subsurface profile. I will try to go over it or mimic it in a minimalized example once I have time since there is nothing really that can't be ...

Materials/Textures Grey in Octane Render
Hi guys,
I am probably missing something obvious so tried to look around and got no info I just started to experiment with Octane and Unreal today and right off the bat most of my materials/textures are gray instead of having the correct textures. Is there some kind of limitation of what materials ...

Re: Baking to a lightfield?
Really interested in this as well, kind of curious why there was no update for years basically.
Since I am a developer with heavy GPU and AI background I did my own video streaming format for 6DOF videos using cubemap interpolation with AI prediction but I would welcome ready solution so I don't ...

Re: Creating a Skin Shader for a Daz model
To me it seems people are rather lazy and want just a one click solutions. There is no such thing. Yep there are a lot of things I would love to have, like material layers supported in the DAZ plugin. But it is not like once this is available my renders will be 100% better, the visual change would ...

Re: Creating a Skin Shader for a Daz model
I am using my own skin shaders but what makes you think that TonySculptor or RedspecSSS is obsolete? It works as good as ever even in 2020, yep it doesn't utilize the latest and shiniest but it delivers still good result without it.

Re: OctaneRender™ 2019 for Daz Studio - New Free Tier!
Maybe I am missed some information but does this mean that all the upgrades 2019.2, 2020... to DAZ Plugin will be free?
Or will this Prime plugin be frozen at 2019.1?

AF through transparent materials?
Hi guys, not sure if it is just my problem but is there a way to use AutoFocus through transparent objects without going manual? Some kind of flag on material so its ignored for AF pick? This is especially annoying when using lights that i set to opacity 0 but they still get picked up by AF. With ...

Re: Does render mesh resolution settings apply/work with octane?
Hi guys, whats the status on this as it seems to be quite a big issue due to performance reasons working on high subd levels in viewport. Not to mention that on some models I can go to SubD 4 in IRAY whereas its not possible for viewport settings (actually it is if you unlock limits but it will ...
