Specular material vertex normal help
So my exported sphere from modo is all facetted in octane when a glass material is used ... tried everything...vertex baking, vertex grouping, setting vertex normals, smoothing normals, exporting vertex normals turned on, triangulating, freezing, 180° smoothing angle ... nothing!!!

Does the glas geometry need to be double sided? I mean with thickness ... air gap and so on

What is the trick if I want to render close up of a light bulb so the glow wire is still visible while the thing is turned on.

What kind of Zbrush normal is octane able to process? Zbrush has those settings for tangent, adaptive, smooth uv, switch red green, flip redgreenblue I hate zbrush

plugin wha? what plugin? can you specify?
This issue "unusable object" search for it, but basically, when you add the mesh do it in the "Unnamed Project" tab of the Graph editor, NOT the "Preview Configuration" Tab. I think that if you do that it should all be good.

okok
so first i will export as obj and make an ocs and then use this in the plugin i guess ..
but now i get 'meshnode in project not usable' ...

I have played around a lil bit with this plugin and was able to export a simple animation, ok.
I halt the render, to add my textures. But everytime octane restarts it loses all the
textures/shaders etc...huh?
