Re: Octane unassigned materials when using render region
Yeah it's super weird. I hope it gets addressed.

Octane unassigned materials when using render region
Whenever I render region in the LV, all the materials get unassigned from my objects. I just end back up with a white diffuse material assigned.

Re: 2019.1 or 4.05?
Hmm. So currently I make car shaders with a mix material between a metal and a paint. Would it look more realistic layering them as would in real life. I'm having a bit of trouble wrapping my head around when to use a layered material over a mix.

Re: 2019.1 or 4.05?
Thank you for the replies! I was looking at the change log for 2019 and was wondering what the difference is between layered material vs blend material?

2019.1 or 4.05?
Hi, I'm a bit confused as to which Octane version I should be downloading. What is the difference between 2019.1 and 4.05? I'm using R20 C4D.

Auto generate HDRI thumbnails?
Hi,
I have a folder of HDRI's but they don't have thumbnails. Does anyone know an easy way to generate thumbnails for them? I was thinking a photoshop action?

Get light to shine from underneath plastic?
Hi all,
I'm wondering how to get light to glow from underneath a plastic part where it would show when lit but then disappear when off? Would it have to be a SS material?
An example in the white text:

Re: Mix HDRI?
Ah I see. I wanted to mix the lighting of the two hdri's. Is there a way to work around this? Maybe a mix node?

Mix HDRI?
Hi. Is it possible to use more than one hdri? I can only seem to use hdri and sky. Redshift allowed me to use multiple hdri domes.

How to use multiple hdri's at once?
Hi,
Is it possible to use multiple hdri's at once? I know redshift allowed me to use multiple dome lights to light the scene.
Thanks!
