I have to confirm this as well.
I've never had this before as I do heavy animation work and I've used Octane for a couple of years now.
I have a simple scene: One figure animated (700 frames ) wearing clothes.
With the octane plugin enabled I get playback lag issues.
When I disengage the ...

Re: Crash at end of Alembic export
Thanks, Paul!
It definitely was something to do with some kind of corruption in the project file.
I saved all elements as scene subsets, then merged them into a new scene.
All the exports work great.
Thanks again.

Crash at end of Alembic export
I'm getting this fatal error at the end of exporting an alembic scene from daz/octane
DAZStudio.exe caused ACCESS_VIOLATION in module "C:\Program Files\DAZ 3D\DAZStudio4\octane.dll" at 0033:00000000DE54A5C7, Octane::isGreyscalePass()+11010567 byte(s)

Re: Help Needed - Animation bug
I wanted to also add that it's not necessarily the eyelashes on a G8 female.
In my situation, it was a pair of shoes that kept the scene from animating.
These are shoes designed for G2 that were auto fit to G8 with a smoothing modifier.
Once I removed the shoes, the scene rendered fully with no ...

Difference in prices for same amount of frames
Just a question.
I rendered the first 10 frames of my animation and it cost $10.45
I then rendered the next 10 frames and it cost $18.16
Is this difference normal?
I'm rendering 1920 x 877 at 2000 samples.
Thanks
Jim

Re: Alembic export question
After further review...
I checked the graphic node panel and found that the render setting node (in my case called scene 1) was not connected to the alembic node. Once I did that, it rendered correctly.
So just FYI

Alembic export question
Hi,
I hope you guys can help with this.
I've successfully exported a small animation from Daz3d with octane as alembic into Octane stand alone then uploaded to the cloud for rendering.
But, when I tried a bigger scene with two planes as soft lights.
