Octane UI: collapse / expand internal node groups (small Blender add-on)
Hi everyone,
I’m sharing a small Blender add-on that lets you collapse / expand the internal UI groups of Octane nodes (Transmission, Base Layer, Specular, etc.) with a single click.
octane_ui_collapse.zip
This does not hide the node itself.

Re: Displacement using decals
I can confirm that Decals can't be "displaced". That could be an interesting feature request.

I would not expect Decals to work with Texture Displacement, since it's UV Projection based.
Maybe Vertex Displacement could work.

Texture Displacement (old and new) are not very good friends with transparency right now. My advice is to use Vertex Displacement in this case.

Oh, now I see what do you mean.
Let's see what we can do about. Meanwhile, you'll have to use purge! :

Re: Can't delete kernels
As I mentioned in a previous reply, it works perfectly fine here.
I made a video showing it.
Are you deactivating the Fake User option before deleting the Kernel?

Hey Raphael,
The developer has a question for you:
"About the Linux version issue, the user said "OctaneRender™ for Blender 2024.1.2 - 29.20" "octane_server_studio_2025.4-30.8.0-stable.run" was working fine, which refer to 2024 and 2025 versions at the same time - so I don't know which one is ...
