I have an internal benchmarking scene for our computers and I cannot believe my eyes.
M4 Max with Octane 2024.1: 39 sec.
M4 Max with Octane 2025.1 Beta: 24 sec.
I'm running both the regular Octane version and the new add-on version of the plug-in, because I need the vanilla version of blender (the custom build refuses to install several other add-ons)
However ... the Octane add-on version seems to be very laggy compared to the regular version ...

I know that it is not your decision to distribute the Mac Plug-in via Foundry, but this is awful. Modo 17.0.8 still ships with the buggy V199 of the Plug-in although V200 is out for months now. To get V200 to ...
me again. So ... Foundry has released Modo 17.0v6 and it still ships with the old plugin 199. So I have to switch to Windows to export proper ORBX files with color vertex maps.
But Foundry hasn't updated the modo 17 build, yet. So how do we Mac users get the most recent version now? Will we always have to wait for Foundry?
Could you provide a regular download link?

The error is due to an issue with the export to ORBX process that is only present in the 2023.1.2.199 version of the plugin, and is fixed in the next release (2023.1.3.200). The next release of the Octane plugin will hopefully be shipped in the next build of Modo (17.0v7 ...
