I **Think** this has resolved the issue - I want to go through a thorough workflow on a more high-res sculpt.

Normal Maps from Zbrush = loose detail when in Octane

Hi guys,

I am having an issue where a normal map from Zbrush is appearing at a lower res when rendered specifically in Octane (c4d).

I was wondering if anyone else had similar issues with this? When I test render in c4d native's renderer, all appears as expected.

Hi all,

I have a problem with trying to work 'smart' with textures in Octane:

Imagine I am making 5 x origami models using 5 x different coloured card sheets. The 5 x sheets all share the same texture (bump, spec & roughness) but the only difference between them is their colour.

Octane lights - cast shadow only

Hi,

I was wondering if the above is possible?

Basically I want to art direct certain shadows in my scene without any of the accompanying illumination that comes with the light.

Native c4d lights have a 'shadow catcher' checkbox to achieve this, but i dont think this works in Octane.

Any ideas on ...

Hi guys,

I would have got back sooner... but I have been busy building the PC :) I thought I would report back in case anyone else out there wanted to do something similar, and at this early stage I would say go for it if you have the budget.
