Thanks Beppe,
I **Think** this has resolved the issue - I want to go through a thorough workflow on a more high-res sculpt.
I wish that had come up in my countless google searches.
Thanks

Normal Maps from Zbrush = loose detail when in Octane
Hi guys,
I am having an issue where a normal map from Zbrush is appearing at a lower res when rendered specifically in Octane (c4d).
I was wondering if anyone else had similar issues with this? When I test render in c4d native's renderer, all appears as expected.

Octane Materials - different colours, same 'global' texture
Hi all,
I have a problem with trying to work 'smart' with textures in Octane:
Imagine I am making 5 x origami models using 5 x different coloured card sheets. The 5 x sheets all share the same texture (bump, spec & roughness) but the only difference between them is their colour.
How would I ...

Octane lights - cast shadow only
Hi,
I was wondering if the above is possible?
Basically I want to art direct certain shadows in my scene without any of the accompanying illumination that comes with the light.
Native c4d lights have a 'shadow catcher' checkbox to achieve this, but i dont think this works in Octane.
Any ideas on ...

Hi guys,
I would have got back sooner... but I have been busy building the PC :) I thought I would report back in case anyone else out there wanted to do something similar, and at this early stage I would say go for it if you have the budget.
