I want to achieve a plastic fabric effect like this.

yes, it's different. Curtain 2 has a more complicated UV and is subdivided.

Try scaling them down, so that the texture scales up in relation.
This is the same texture, and same number of Polys, but the UVs on the right are scaled up

Texture appling issue

I'm made a curtain and then decided to change it to another mesh. However no matter how I adjusted the texture transform and projection, just couldn't get the same result as before :(

you have linked a very old topic, in the meantime, the Displacement node has been enhanced.
Which exact version of plugin are you using?

Why everytime adding displacement to this tile texture, it causes a weird shadow or reflection
