Yes still no luck using it.
Liscence isn't the trouble It's all good.
I tried removing the \ but still not working. I install the regular houdini plug, this one is running fine.
Look solaris plugin is loading correctly but crash only when i try to activate the viewport render, so maybe it ...

Solaris/Octane basic setup

Hi Guys,

Could someone let me know how to make a basic setup using octane and solaris?? Octane seems to start ok but but when i try to activate it, it just vanish from the menu. Might it be an install issue?? Octane Standealone is working so it shouldn't be a liscense server issue, Maybe a bad ...

I'm using octane 2020.2.1

It's maybe because i'm not setting up correctly, look at the image. the same object imported in marmoset and houdini get vertex color.
I tried alembic but it doesn't work at all (even in houdini and marmoset), i think Zbrush don't put vertex colors infos when exporting ...

also liked to know if there is a way, standalone is better for quick lookdev since you can reload mesh quite faster than in blender

It's working :D
it's a funny way to work with udim. with this setup you can "only" go up to udim 1099. but that quite good enough for my needs. i never goes over 1050/1060.

thanks again :) and i hope it will work correctly as it should with %i soon.

Hello, did you succed to make it work with udims? like you i can get it to work in the standalone but not in blender (copying the grid/start/digit setup).
the file in UDIMDEMO is working as expected but i'm worlking with udim, not uuvv setup.

Hello Guys,

i'm trying to work with anisotropic shader but i run into two problems:

first, the poly/topology of the mesh on smoothed surfaces always shows up (specially with strong anisotropic value) it's way more visible in blender.
Is there a way to clean this?

Hello Guys

I can't figure out the setup to make the rounded edge work in blender. i tried lot's of options and setup but never got it to work.
if i just export the model in obj with smoothing group and rendered it in standalone, it work perfectly out of the box.
I'm using the latest versions 2018.1 ...
