I think this definitely has been happening to me on 2021.1 builds for some already:
As soon as I start using Light IDs, my C4D crashes after stop render and then start it up again in LV, and C4D crashes on the loading render.
This happens in all kinds of scenes, small and big.

The issue is more complex, and it is caused by Nvidia CUDA.
The core devs have prepared 2020.1 SDK based on CUDA 11 with A100 Ampere GPUs, and everything was working perfectly.

Cinema 4D hangs forever and needs to be force shutdown when:
While LiveViewer is open and rendering, we do some edits and change viewports with middle mouse button (it crashes when we switch from quad view to single view) , a lot of times it crashes when we do this.

Also, if I use Time Limit(sec) in render settings, seems like it does that time calculation interestingly, because it counts in first frame scene conversion and if im rendering animation as in my case, first frame is render with 4x less time than the rest of the frames and is very noisy compared to ...
