Now that NVLink works in the 2018 plugin, do we need to modify the octane settings > "out of core" tab to utilize the new expanded memory features?
There is a Ram usage limit set in there (mine was defaulted to 4gb).
So let's say we have 2x2080ti cards bridged. What would the new settings be? Do ...

Re: Cinema 4D version 2018.1
Hey Everyone,
Just a little warning not to upgrade to this during a production. I installed it and the lights/render come out different than in v4. So I had to change back to v4 for the remainder of this job so everything matches.
Just fyi.

Re: Many 1080tis for sale
actually
2080 cuda cores = 2944
for $800 plus tax and shipping
1080ti = 3584
for $650
Not a bad deal.
So the 1080ti is faster and cheaper. Prices were from what's selling on eBay, but I'm a trusted source as opposed to random people mining cards on eBay.

1080tis for sale! price lowered, 2 more days only
Edit -
4 1080ti blowers - 500 each for only two more days!
(plus shipping from NYC)
They'll be gone after Tuesday.
I had them stacked in a 4gpu Boxx Apexx 4. Only 1 yr old.
You can email me at [email protected]
Thanks!

Re: c4d not exporting animation
Hi Aoktar,
I figured out the problem - and it looks like it's a bug.
When the only thing animated in the scene is the camera, it doesn't export/import.
I threw in a null and put some keyframes on it as a test. After that, the animation exported/imported just fine. So, it seems it won't work ...

Ok. This looks like it's a bug.
I put a null in and animated the null. Only after that did the camera animation import into standalone.
If the only thing animated in the scene is the camera, the animation doesn't import.

Re: help exporting to standalone
Well shoot. It seems like it's a camera problem?
If I animate an object, the animated object imports to standalone fine. BUT an animated camera won't import....
