okay. my assessment:

it's stunning in the videos but, it seems you have to become as skilled as they are to get those results

i'm a PRODUCER, not a texturist - i need to finished product for my time spent - this plugin demands i become expert in light physics, etc - i keep looking for prefabs ...

this is where i'm at: i thought i could install this and just use any existing assets from the demos - but, the Courtyard and Forest freeze my machine

so, i can load my own very huge level and render but, it's not so hot and tweaking parameters is not getting me the advertised results ...

i stopped trying with the Courtyard and loaded my own level - it renders just fine

but, it's going to be 7.5 minutes per frame so, i need to reduce render times now

i haven't found any tutorial teaching me what to do with all the choices - most tuts i've seen just tell you what the buttons ...

also, this is for the unity 'courtyard' octane scene - so, i'm just trying to get it to render before i try my own levels

actually, it loaded just fine but, when i hit 'render', it says it's compiling for awhile then, all the screens go blank - i tried waiting but, it did i for 15 minutes - so, i restarted unity and, it's doing it again AND massively slowing down all other programs - tho' only my browser is open
