Re: "Use denoised beauty pass" Never ENDS
Tried another route...turned off the 'Use denoised beauty pass' and tried to save it as an AOV instead...Same result...render never ends...If I try to render with 'Denoised' at all it won't stop rendering (with my simple cube scene) What is going on here??

"Use denoised beauty pass" Never ENDS
If I select "Use denoised beauty pass" in the render settings the render will NEVER end...in ANY scene I try. Has anyone else experienced this? This is a brand new PC and I'm using C4D 23.110 and OctaneStudio-for-C4D-2020.1.5_R4_win

Re: Random hair color
Thanks for response! However I as I mentioned I am trying to randomize on the actual Hair Object......Not on the XPtrail with an Octane object tag as you have done here...Reason being I need finer control over the thickness and other hair properties etc.
I know it can be done this way...but can ...

I also downloaded those examples previously, thanks Zoppo...in those examples the hair is being generated from the XP trail object with the Object tag....I am trying to randomize the color of the actual hair ...

Random hair color
Greetings,
I am using 3.08.3 and C4D 18. After following this tutorial https://vimeo.com/129971509 In the last example using XP Trail - he manages to generate random colors on the hairs. I can't do this, they just all appear as one color. I noticed others complaining in the comments they had the ...

Re: Grainy area light with other objects
Thanks for the feedback!!....yes tried adaptive sampling. I do realize the settings are low but that's not the problem....it's the tube or any very large illuminated objects with extra area lights in the scene.
I made the tube that size because it's similar to what I'm dealing with....A very large ...

Re: Grainy area light with other objects
OK that scene is probably too complicated. I have attached a very simple scene. With an area light sphere and tube. The tube has a texture emission texture. Now when the tube is turned off, the area light looks as it should. When the tube is turned on it looks terrible. Does anyone know why this is ...
