Turns out it was a Windows issue shutting off my SSD and I only thought it was a c4d/octane issue because I was spending so much time in the program while it froze on me.

Any solution for this? I'm having the same issue and can't figure out a solution. Just bought a new computer and specs are basically the same as OP but I have a single 1080 ti and an Intel 7700k. I love Octane and I'd hate to have to switch renders.

I don't know why this is happening, but this is my first time using octane. I'm using the octane VR subscription with C4D r18. I just set it up and it's been freezing my whole system during very simple live view renders, like a cube and one light.

My specs are

1080 ti
7700k
32gb of ram
Evo 850 ...
