Oh, I see.
I installed the 17.5.229 plugin and I'm running Houdini 17.5.327
Thanks for your help.

Re: HOW to Install? ( LW User)
Hi Juanjo,
Also having an installing issue here.
I suspect the path of my .env is correct, since I see an octane shelf in Houdini.
The issue might be with versions. I just installed Houdini 17.5.327
This is the octane plugin I got installed

ORC Problem. Render frames don't match (C4D)
IHello, I'm doing initial tests at OCR for rendering a +3 minute piece @1080.
The problem: I render the first frame of a sequence animation and what I get from ORC is always the same frame (which btw, it seems is a frame from outside of the range I specified)
I have to submit this tomorrow ...

Re: Shadow Catcher
Grazie mille Beppe for replying.
So I was able to see the shadow just like you showed using the Render layer approach, but the problem was when rendering to EXR (still doesn't work, but that's another battle for me to look into).
It works fine if I render a PSD

I'm sure this is a known subject (it´s even on reddit but unsolved) but I've read and watched tuts and I can't seem get a solution. This image illustrates my problem

Adding a second card, what to expect?
I've finally added a second card to my system and I'm not sure I'm getting what I expected.
This is what I had before and after, plus different tests I've done.
1. GTX 1070 (1,920 cuda cores)
OctaneBench 3 result: 121
my render frame test: 44seg
2.GTX 1070 + GTX 1080 TI (3,584 cuda cores ...

Re: Cinema 4D version 4.00 (stable)
Mmm, I guess it wasn't that "clearly advertised" then.
Maybe it was this interview that got me excited:

Thanks.
Well, i'll have to go for the All Access annual bundle!
