Hey, did you guys get to this for that update today? Still slow on my end and I have provided a more stripped down version of the scene.. But is it possible I was supposed to update the Standalone to 2021.1.5 today as well? Thank you!

Hey Chris. Here is a scene where I stripped pretty much everything but the basic Cinema4d quadruped character rig out. Octane is still very laggy when using the middle mouse to scroll in and out despite the live viewer having hardly anything to render. A few hairs on a geo will 10x this lag ...

Have you tried opening up the Rigged Male Character in Cinema 4d, deleting the textures, and starting the Octane live viewer?

The hair issues seem to be tied to using texture maps in the c4d hair material. I've tried different file types besides .tif.
These same maps used to work fine. I realize C4D has updated as well, so that may not be all on Octane, but the responsiveness is just horrible either way.

Octane seems to be going backwards in terms of usability. Especially with my workflow. Just using the default rigged male C4D character and firing the live viewer is a headache. I'm not sure if it's just my computer or everyone. I first noticed issue in a old scene (from last year) on a rigged ...

Ahh that was it! The only Silverwing video I skipped lol.
If you open up an old project in c4d 2026 it defaults to the color space you were using when you made it. If you copy materials to a new 2026 scene, the new scene is set to ACES.

Broken Materials in update
Has anyone noticed with the new Cinema 4d 2026 and Otoy. (probably c4d)..... Now when I copy materials (built in earlier c4d version) to a new c4d 2026 scene, the gradient values are way off, causing the materials to have hardly and roughness, bump, etc...

Is anyone else unable to middle mouse in / out of the live viewer with this release? Is there a setting for this? Seems to have started yesterday when I updated
