Re: Make a polygon transparent on one side?

Ciao Bepe!

Thank you very much for the reply and screenshots.

I'm sure I tried something similar but I think I missed the rgb spectrum. (I'm us d to changing opacity of a material in c4d by using the greyscale slider of opacity). I assume that's how you make a transparent material in octane too ...

Make a polygon transparent on one side?

Hi all,

Working on an animation where some polygons flip to reveal an image.

Anyone know if it's possible to have the polygon transparent on the reverse side and only visible when the image on the other side flips and is revealed?

So far I've tried a mix material of the image and transparency ...

Re: Octane Materials Morph

Hey Guys,

Thanks for taking the time to answer and supply example files!

It's just one of those things. I tried it again and it works fine. I've no idea what I did wrong!?

Thanks again.

Hi, material morph in the normal cinema style does not work in octane. You have to do this by using a octane mix material and animate the mix factor.

I actually tried that right after I posted. I'm adjusting the float slider and animating the keyframes. It's weird that the material icon ...

Octane Materials Morph

Hey Guys,

I'm trying to do a basic morph between materials using some octane shaders. Getting no blend, just a jump at the last frame.
I've done a test in the same scene and it works fine with normal C4d materials.

Anyone have any suggestions please? Is this possible with Octane?

Thanks.
