Re: Settings Missing in Color Management

I got an answer to this on this the FB group.

For anyone struggling with it here's what you do.

Download the whole folder for the OCIO not just the ocio file.

Then when you point Octane to the ocio file you get the extra options appearing below.

Settings Missing in Color Management

Hi, I'm trying to use ACES in Octane 2020.2.3/C4D R21 and there are some settings missing in the Color Management tab.

Below where you add your config file there should be some settings for intermediate color space, but there's nothing there and the explanatory text in the box doesn't mention ...

I'll try that.

Thanks a lot, Beppe.

Aperture Aspect Ratio Universal Camera Not Implemented?

Hi all.

Is the aperture aspect ratio in the Universal Camera implemented yet?

I'm using 2019.1.5.R3 and when I move the aperture aspect ratio slider nothing happens.

I'd like to combine anamorphic bokeh with some of the new camera functions in the Universal Camera.

Cheers.

Re: Slave Memory Render Issue

Thanks Bepe, not sure that issue is the same as mine.

I'm not getting a BSOD crash, just error messages in the slave daemon which stops the slave from rendering.

Also I have a z270 WS board not an X99, my board has a PLX chip but not sure it's the same one.

Slave Memory Render Issue

Hi all,

Not sure if this is best posted in the C4D forum or an area dedicated to Octane standalone (not sure if this is a C4D plugin issue or a more general Octane issue).

I recently installed another GPU in my slave machine and with heavy scenes the daemon has been crashing.

I'm getting a long ...

Re: OctaneRender™ Standalone 3.08 RC 2

Hi.

I reported a bug in the C4D subforum about intermittent slave GPU behaviour and Aoktar thought it may be a standalone issue, so adding it here.

I have two slave GPUs, everything is working properly but often my info in the LV is showing 0/2 instead of 2/2, so the slave cards are not being ...

Re: Network Render Issue (3.08-RC2)

Thanks Aoktar.

Is there any particular method or software you'd recommend to monitor slave output, network and CPU/GPU usage that I can run while rendering in the LV?

Re: Network Render Issue (3.08-RC2)

Thanks Aoktar.

Do you mean use max samples for a long render?

This issue happens with long renders in LV (e.g. 20 minutes because of high GI and fairly high samples of 4000).

The slave cards sometimes come online after a delay, but often they're not used at all.

Perhaps I could monitor my ...

Network Render Issue (3.08-RC2)

Hi.

I'm still having network render issues with my Live Viewer in 3.08-RC2 C4D.

I have two GPUs in my slave machine which are working fine but often my LV isn't using them (info shows 0/2 instead of 2/2).

It seems to work OK in Picture Viewer or rendering via the Render Queue.

I think the size ...
