Thank you Beppe,
that is good to know. Maby we do update then before the project starts.

Re: Does RNDR support the latest version of Octane? (2023.1.2)
I See,
Actually, it’s not optimal, to get this information only when you actually start a render job. We would have to know this in advance.
For example, the reason why I was asking is: We are currently at the beginning of a big client project that will most probably require rendering via RNDR.
If ...

Does RNDR support the latest version of Octane? (2023.1.2)
Hi Guys,
I can't find any info about what versions of Octane Render are currently supported in RNDR.
Can I assume, that the current "Latest stable version" (currently 2023.1.2) allways works in RNDR?

Re: merging/fusing geometries effect
I think you are talking about the "clipping material"
It works like a boolean inside octane.

Reflection-Matte for render layers

Hi Guys
I think we are missing a major feature when it comes to VFX Shots; especially when combining renderings with real footage.

Hi guys, I’d like to share a thought that has been rotating in my mind:
What if there was a way to create mattes in octane materials, simply by using 3D objects ?
I know you can do something like this via vertex maps, but they are limited by the mesh resolution what ...

Reflection-Matte for render layers
When rendering out an object’s reflection via render layers, we only get the highlights.
But, in order to get the correct reflection, we also need the dark parts.
Until now the only way of achieving this is to manually set up a separate scene and build a complicated workaround with a luminance ...

Re: Custom matte Node
Am I the only one here who believes this would be an incredibly useful feature?
Would it be possible to do though?
