I've been using Octane for years now, but I am very confused right now.
I sent a file to render last night and while my camera moves fine, all objects in the viewport are not moving but just static.
All objects in the scene are Moveable Proxies.
I'm on Octane 4.05 and 4.05 - 6.23 Max Plugin

Re: How to get correct layer shadow
Hi designandcode,
I would not use shadow pass compositing in your case, I would recommend you to use and shadow catcher and render layer on the fly.

Re: OctaneRender™ Standalone 4.05 [current 4.xx]
Hello!
Fix, please, noisy and fireflied Shadow Pass while using Render Layer feature.
The problem is not in samples count.
I use a c4d plugin, but user bepeg4d confirmed that issue is related to Octane core SDK
Thank you

Re: Bad Noise in "Layer Shadows" Render Pass
Hi Paride,
we're still having this issue - we have a full license from years ago and do not seem to have access to the 2018.1 version of Octane.
Has this problem been fixed in any of the Octane 4.xx releases?

Re: Bad Noise in "Layer Shadows" Render Pass
Hi paride, thank you for response - I assume this was intended for me.
I have just switched over to OctaneRender_2018_1_RC4, but the problem is still present. It doesn't look like I have any access to later versions with my regular license.
We're kind of stuck now not being able to render this ...

Bad Noise in "Layer Shadows" Render Pass
Hi there,
I'm having issues with noise in the Layer Shadows Render Pass. Interestingly enough, if I render a full beauty pass, I don't get any of the noise that appears in the shadow pass. I'm used to the noisy edges, but this time i also have a lot of noise in the actual shaded areas. Please see ...

Re: Animated slice modifier - objects disappear
If anyone else ever has this problem and wants to render through the Max Backburner:
We ended up splitting each scene into multiple backburner jobs, each job beginning at the very first frame the sliced object started to become visible. That worked ok. Using the same backburner job but specifying ...
