There are issues and crashes with 360° panoramic renders. I had no time to track them down in which combinations they make Octane crash due to an ongoing project.
But reverting to the latest pre-2026 version made it work again.

Re: ForestPack IVY support
Thanks for the support. It doesn't work when I use the "Support Type: Legacy", right? At least for me.

My two 5090RTX also don't go up to 100% but no in terms of power consumption and heat. They consume mostly around 300 Watts per Card. But deliver full performance in terms of clocking.
In Furmark the go up to nearly 600 Watts power consumption.
The "internet" says it's because of the utilization ...

Re: forest ivy itoo 9 not working with octane
Its not supported. I would like to see proper ForestIvy support too. The ivy walls can get very huge if you need to render them as geometry. This is how it works at the moment.

Yes you can only render full geometry for ForestIvy. I had a project with a huge wall and had to switch back to a common 3D model.

Will there be ForestIVY supported anytime soon? I have to convert to geometry, which eats up a lot of resources on a single Ivy wall.

@Elvis: You mean studio drivers or common normal ones?

Re: OctaneRender® for 3ds max® v2025.1 - 16.04
Are there changes in texture environment 2D transform angles with this version?
I had several old scenes with latest version before 2024.1.2 with a complete different sun angle now.
Usually I use a Texture-Environment with a RGB Image (HDR). I use the UV transform slot and apply an 2D ...

It seems I can reduce my issues, raising the GPU Headroom to 1024MB.
I also can eliminate the bug with forest objects not being visible anymore on later frames in some cases, when I not use them as a moveable proxy. But not nice in animations.

Re: OctaneRender® for 3ds max® v2024.1.2 - 15.12
I have no idea how to track it down. I changed drivers to 566.14 from older ones. Can I enable some logs which may record something? or can I update the OpenImage denoiser myself?
It happens only with heavy scenes which don't fit into VRAM. Mostly I can render one or two images without problems ...
