There's a time offset on the step effector and when I use render instances on both cloners I think that won't work? Scene is very heavy agreed. Would've preferred to use scatter / instancing but didn't because of the time offset effects.
Are you able to render the V2 with normal motion blur ...

Xpresso driven Vertex Map not rendering
Hi,
I followed this tutorial to create a vertex map driven by a shader – https://vimeo.com/132829405. My shader is using a black and white vector graphic for data.
once the vertex map is created, i'm cloning into it using octane scatter. I wanted to do it this way because it allows me to also ...

Octane Render Failiure
I'm on a Hackintosh still running Sierra 10.12.6, using 3 1080 Ti GPUs, running Octane 3.08-RC4 with C4D R17 (which I've been using without issue for like 8 months)

Network render without eGPU
Hi,
I'm looking to set up a workflow where I work off my Macbook Pro and then network render with Octane using a windows renderslave. My original plan had been to get an eGPU for the MacBook Pro and use that in conjunction with the 4 GPUS in my renderslave using network render as seen in this ...

unable to render file
Hi,
I have a file that simply will not render with Octane. I'm left thinking there isn't anything that could be behind this apart from a bug, as the scene is quite simple. It's a plain scene with some geometry, a dome light, and a diffuse material linked to a 2k texture that is animating. I open up ...

Re: Alpha Channel / particle scale / Cd tex issues
Yes, sorry. You are right. When the alpha is enabled, the environment background is disabled, rendering the whole scene over a black background. When the alpha is disabled, the scene is rendered with the environment background, so you can see the background through the object transparent surfaces ...

Re: Alpha Channel display bug
Hi Juan,
Thanks for testing this out, much appreciated. Your response makes sense, the only reason I posted as a bug report was after caching the particles and trying them in C4D Octane the live viewer/alpha channel behavior was different, so assumed it might be a bug. Just starting with Houdini ...
