Hello,
when I try to render with the infochannel kernel (material ID)
even if I set the number of samples very low like 256 the rendering stays forever and Im obliged to
save the image while working (but i get the low stripe with all the rendering informations).
Is this a known bug?
thanks

Re: cinema 2023 octane live view not updating
Ok,
I have realized that you have to move the hdri environment as an object...so working with coordinates..
My fault!
Thanks

Re: cinema 2023 octane live view not updating
Hi,
I will try that...
anyhow the most annoyng issue is that when I try to rotate an hdri image set as environment I can't see it in realtime and
this slow down a lot the setup of a scene.
I already have all the options activated.
Thanks

directional light and environment
Hello,
I don't know if I do something wrong, but I have this issue:
If I create a scene and play with the directional light and set the environment as daylight everything works fine, i rotate the light and the sun and sky changes accordingly.
Then if I want to try to light the scene with an hdri ...

Re: DOCUMENTATION ADDENDUM: Rendering Alembic Files
Ok Iv found a solution!
if you create an empty mesh layer and add a procedural op MERGE MESH
and you give as an input the Phoenix liquid file the operator Freeze it in real geometry and octane sees it!
I add a screenshot to explain the process.

Re: DOCUMENTATION ADDENDUM: Rendering Alembic Files
Hi,
the ale, mbic is a sequence of 150 frames pf Phoenixfd liquid simulation.
If you open it directlyt or import in Modo the only way to see it correctly is to import it
with the first option of Modo Alembic import:Modo mesh with streaming Alembic deformers.
If you select the abc item you will see ...
