Thanks, yes it work now if I disable the multithread extraction on the same pig test geo, so I can work around that for now. I will install the standalone 2018 on my PC slave and test that with network rendering...

Thanks, it shouldn't make much difference but I'm using an Nvidia 1080ti Hybrid with the Mantiz Venus Egpu enclosure, in case something has changed between v4 and 2018 Houdini plugin with that part.

The link contains the simple test file(its the same on the project I'm working on also) and a screen recording when the mouse is outside of the mplay window it's beachballing frozen, but doesn't show in the recording just a cursor. Then requires a force quite crash.

it does the same thing with the full path, I tested it just incase
I have v4 in the same directory and that works, but would it be better to place it in another location? permissions maybe?

Hi I just can't seem to get any 2018 versions to work, are there specific requirements? I'm getting a beachball on mac and a black screen in mplay, is there a log file to find out whats happening? I have tried this on 3 different 2018 releases.

thanks for the suggestion, I have reinstalled 410.130 and rebooted but still getting a black screen and beach ball when loading the ipr

The 2018 versions don't seem to work in OSX 10.13.6.
Cuda have just released a new recent update, that is now compatible with the other drivers but I get a black screen mplay in Houdini 17.5.229 & .173 then a crash.
Cuda driver: 418.163
OSX nvidia driver: 387.10.10.40.105
It works ok with octane ...

Thanks, I think this has done it, restarted and its still working so far. Strange how it affects the licence server, but I appreciate the quick response. Any plans for a custom OSX ipr like with windows for future releases? :)
