Sorry for asking.

Re: render region to disk ?
4 days and no response. Not as easy as I thought ?
I seem to remember it was very obvious with octane for lightwave (maybe my memory lacks, lightwave is far away).
So no one knows how to render region with octane and houdini ? Or am i asking something so obvious that nobody wants to respond ?

How to unsubsribe to greycale gorilla ?
Hi,
I've just subsribed to greyscale gorilla since it was offered with octane licence (I hadn't used this offer the years before).
But I've just discovered (If I'm wrong correct me) that it is an other adobe trap : stop subscription and anything you have learned to use is no more accessible.

render region to disk ?
Hi all,
I'm pretty sure this has already been asked, but I can't find where.
Is there a way to render regions to disk ? Not with ipr ?
And when render is launched with batch file script without opening houdini (win11 here) ?
Thanks for your response.
PS : DOF must stay consistent with full ...

Re: camera visibility problem
Ok, my fault.
Not a camera visibility problem.
I had accidently checked autofocus and the objet is very near from camera at that frame. So everything was extremly blurred and I thought the object was obscuring the camera.
So no camera visibility problem.

camera visibility problem
Hi all,
I am at the layout stage of a scene.
I have some key frames on camera visibility on one object (it musn't be seen by camera on one frame). Every thing was working fine, but soudainly it does not work : the object stays visible when camera visibility is keyed unchecked.
Any idea ?
Thanks.

Re: OBJECT LAYER COLOR : where have the colors gone ?
Yes this is an issue that was resolved in the latest version.
You can fix this by going in to the node properties and change the type of the parameter to color.
Sorry for the inconvenience:/
OK, but I can't see where to change this setting ? Is it in the octane tab in the parameter editor ...

OBJECT LAYER COLOR : where have the colors gone ?
Hi,
I'm using octane 2024.1.0.2. on my current production (no change possible).
When I open object layer color, I only get gray (so 1 channel) choice ???
What am I missing ? I do not remember this to be like that (but I do not use octane only with Houdini, so I may remember wrong with Houdini ...

Re: Octane houdini documentation ?
Thanks Ricky,
Good to know documentation will be updated soon.
About instancing I had found (it took some time) how to setup attributes.
Now I have to see if it is better to use octane scatter node or houdini system and how/if scatter node can manage houdini attributes (N, up, orient, pscale, etc ...
