XP VDB import to Octane scale issues

hey guys,

i've imported clouds and had no issues, but upon trying to match up XP fire and smoke to an Object is got me stuck. See the screen shots that show various VDB scale Increments. Also a shot of the export settings from XP for the Open VDB.

Any thoughts or suggestions on how to match up my ...

has anyone got any work arounds to render ivy on a wall made with xparticles 3.5 /trails/spline mesher with octane 3.6 ?

need some step by step on the setup if any ?

was thinking of using the Ivy plugin that just uses thinking particles worst case.

yes to all your questions. after a few restarts of both computers. i was able to get back the "2/2" after the scene calculated.

strange thing was this was not happening till i had an unscheduled power outage and my systems went down after backup died too. luckily a restart helped the situation ...

hey guys,

forgive the newbie, but if i have 2 gpu's on a slave machine, shouldn't my stat's on the Octane render window say "2/2" vs "0/2" ?? see attached image.

thanks for the help on dumb stuff.

i think you will save many emails if you can help with this issue step by step.

1) could you make a simple sphere in zbrush. make it into a polymesh. divide at 3 times and apply some high freq detail alpha ?

2) then creative the UV with UV master and show us your settings.

ok, if i can change the subject as i can't get any help on this anywhere so far. is it possible to get zbrush displacemet maps to work with Octane ? for example creature skin details etc ??

i can't get it to work at all like used to with vray. if you know ...

Has anyone successfully gotten a Zbrush displacement map to work in Octane c4d ???

Have tried tons of settings but can't get it to work. Any help greatly appreciated. Zbrush displacement map to Vray worked great but i don't want to use Vray anymore ;)
