Re: My slave keeps dying
Thanks Juanjo, I seem to have traced down the issue to using the panoramic camera with the PMC kernal in limited region rendering. Switching to the path tracing kernal is stable. Looking forward for the production build of 3.07.

My slave keeps dying
I'm having issues with my render slave. Sometimes after a few hours, other times after a few minutes, but consistently for the last 4 days. The Octane salve daemon will report "detected that heart beat of slave stopped -> stopping slave".
This began happening after I installed the Octane production ...

inconsistent render performance based on kernal
I posted several months ago regarding this, I was waiting to see if performance would change on the latest build. when using a a pmc or path tracing kernal, my slave gpu loads ping between mid 70% and 0%. When using a direct lighting kernal, the gpu loads go to the mid 90s and stay constant until ...

Re: Let's Pllay: Bug, Feature, or User Error?
OK, maybe I'm not being much of a help. I don't see why your background image is stretched, the camera mapping node works as I expect it to. As for your water surface reflections, why not render that without the environment, wouldn't that give you just the spaceship reflections on the water?

How come your diffuse material output is not connected to anything?

Hi Bookmansblues,
I can't help you with the TFD issues since I'm not a user, and can't really understand what you're trying to do with #4, but maybe I can help with #1.

Re: Image sequence
I think I know you're problem. You have a image set up in Background composite in Layout and texture environment in your Octane Render target editor, correct? Just be sure to check "Alpha Channel" in your render target kernal, and you will see your background image from the "Effects-Compositing" Tab ...

Bug with the daylight environment?
I'm working on a project where I need to simulate a sun orbiting the sky sort of like you'd experience if you were on the pole in summer. I change the environment daylight node to direction, and I can get the effect I want with the pitch at around 45 degrees and changing the heading angle. When I ...
