Are you saying that I should be trying to sign out using the stand alone app? I've tried both and get the same error, when using stand alone there's no trace of C4D in the Attribute manager of the machine I'm on. It's a weird instance really.

I have the standalone and the c4d plugin, I use the c4d plugin, the stand alone I don't open.

At work I'm trying to sign out of my license so I can use it at home but I keep getting an error that another instance is active, but there isn't another instance. This is on mac. I'm attaching a screen grab.

Thank you for the info guys! I'm still debating whether or not to purchase Octane, but I like the looks of how it works. Maybe I can get an external gpu as well.

Thinking about getting a license of Octane to learn on at home, my laptop is a 2016 version of the dell xps. It comes with an Nvidia 960m card; anyone have experience using Octane with that card?
