Re: Small requests

Hello,

Could we have the possibility to mirror (X, Y, Z) an image in the Transform Value node and could you add the possibility to blur the image in the rgb or grayscale image nodes please ?

Thank you in advance

Hi remKa,

For the mirror, the normal way is to use a negative scale in the ...

Re: Lightning system suggestion

Hello there,

Using Octane for Houdini a bit more intensively, I found that their light management system was much more ergonomic: rather than having maps (spotlight, gradient) created in the material editor, the plugin offers a 'modify' tab for each light with several sliders (image, spotlight ...

Re: OctaneRender® 2026.2 for 3ds max® v26.6

Hi neonZorglub,

I sent you two scenes as a PM with ty flow. Can you render frame 100 and up? one scene fast eval times and other one is slow. Not sure why. I think AI light ON makes it slow to eval tyflow particles

Any updates when tyflow 2 zenith fire and smoke will be natively supported ...

Re: OctaneRender® 2026.2 for 3ds max® v26.6

These interfaces are slow

Hi Elvissuperstar007,
The Render Setup dialog can become quite slow when all the rollouts of all the tabs are open.
There are 2 options in Octane Preferences to keep only the active ones:
Preferences / User Interface tab :
-Create Items for Current Tab only
-Clear ...

Re: OctaneRender® 2026.2 for 3ds max® v26.5

Could you please render 150 frames instead of just one frame? You’ll see the evaluation time go up to 1–2 minutes, and the RAM gets clogged when using tyFlow particles.

During our render with 20 GPUs, the time per frame increased from 2 minutes to 7 minutes (During 150 frame rendering), and about ...

Re: OctaneRender® 2026.2 for 3ds max® v26.5

Here's the scene

Hi Elvissuperstar007,
Thank you for the scene.
I tried repeating viewport rendering, closing viewport, changing some parameters, re-opening viewport, many times, but could not reproduce the crash..
What kind of editing do you usually do ? (eg material parameters ?, camera ...

Re: OctaneRender® 2026.2 for 3ds max® v26.5

Hi neonZorglub,
1. Here is the scene for slow eval times with tyflow. When you open it just try to render fram 190-250 It gets very slow. (I think Render instances in tyflow mesh even is not working. It renders as copies using a lot of vram)
Someone had the same problem with tyflow https://render ...
