I'd prefer for the solution to be implemented rather than having to do a work around. Some of our scenes take 30s per frame to build due to hair so another render is hours worth even at samples set to 1.

Render layer and Z

When using render layer, we need the option of all the geometry in the scene being included in the Z pass and not just the geometry on the render layer so we can blur shadows.

Is this version working with r23 because I can't get it to run properly on any of our systems?

Edit. Turns out it was the RAR opener app with Win 10 causing problems. WinRAR seems to unpack things properly. Why is the C4D Win plugin not in a zip folder instead of RAR as zip is native to Win 10??

Renders not saving - stuck on frame 1

I have a brand new AMD Threadripper 24core, 2x3080, 128Gb
C4D 22&23 Octane 2020.1.5-R3


I can not for the life of me get Octane to save renders. It gets to 100% but does not save out the rendered image and sticks. There are no C4D shaders in the scene. I have tried brand new scenes with nothing in ...

Failed to destroy texture objects

Anyone seen this one before and/or know how to fix it? Happens when when we use our machine as a slave, seems ok when rendering from an ORBX with standalone. Tried a few driver versions including latest 442.19 but no change.

This seems to add another level of complexity to matters and there is also the issue of have lots of potentially large scenes pulled into one project which could result in memory issues. How hard would it be just to have a window where we can line up our orbx and render one by one?
