As far as I can tell, vector motion blur still doesn't work on deforming meshes when its material has displacement.
Also vertex motion blur on hair and octane scatter objects on animated meshes doesn't seem to work either.
Unless I'm missing something, it would be rad if these features came to ...

Re: CPU impact on a GPU server
Indeed, that's my biggest question. Cpu price on a system like this can vary by thousands of dollars. Wondering what grade of Cpu would be capable of operating 8 or more GPUS efficiently. There must be a threshold for a sufficient chip where price point and performance max out.

CPU impact on a GPU server
I'm thinking of buying one of these GPU servers for Octane rendering and trying to configure a machine with the best bang for the buck.

Re: top, side, front cameras all showing the same perspective /
yes do you move it back?
yeah I move it back and get the same result. I made a new octane camera and moved it way back, and centered it well away from the object, then I switch to top or front perspective and it still gives cross section and also offsets the object that was centered in the ...

top, side, front cameras all showing the same perspective /
When I switch from perspective camera to top, side, front, or any of the straight on camera options in the cameras menu, they all give me the same result : a cross section of my model from the side view, like my model has been cut down the middle and shot from the side. The viewport is fine but live ...
