I understand that the resolution is limited in the demo version--so If I have set my C4D render output to 1080 HD, am I seeing accurate render times for this resolution? or should I expect higher render times after purchasing the full license?

alpha channel?
making a decal, or label, or any texture with an alpha, is pretty straightforward in C4D's renderer--just use the alpha channel, and copy the same png or whatever into the alpha slot, and you're done

odd shadow from blackbody texture?
hi all,
this torus has a blackbody texture in the emission slot, the shadow is a mystery to me, can someone explain? seems to stay regardless of the number of poly subdivisions in the torus
