Re: Test Version 3.07-Test3a

Super awesome update! Love the fact that we can use shaders in the displacement channel now utilizing the baking texture.

However I feel like it slows down workflow tremendously. Each time I make a change it locks up Cinema for a few seconds. I understand this because it's baking the texture, which ...

Re: correct z-depth and relative multipass workflow

Additionally, is there a proper tutorial vid on how to render out Motion Vector passes to use with RSMB in AE?

Can't really find a proper workflow for this.

Re: Artificial Intellegence to speed up rendering

I wonder if this yields consistent results per frame so it's useable with animation.

Deep render support

Hey guys,

I noticed that Octane renderer supports exporting deep compositing data since v3. This option is enabled in the Octane render standalone by ticking the 'Deep Image' checkbox in the render settings. However I've searched pretty thorougly in the C4D render settings, but I can't find it ...

Re: GTX 1080 no compatible with OCTANE V3!??

As of yesterday, GTX 1080 runs CUDA ver. 8. Bought it yesterday, installed yesterday, crying today because Octane doesn't support it yet and I'm in the middle of a project. Cannot go back to my old computer because it's fried. Life is cruel.

Re: Could not find any available licenses

mmm, weird, here is how it should work:
v3.00TerminalSignOut.mp4
I would try to deactivate v3.00 and then try with v3.01:

Re: Could not find any available licenses

That does happen now, earlier it did not for some reason. I tried to log in but nothing happened

My license still shows as activated, do I have to wait another hour to activate again? I want to send some renders to a client in an hour or so and it looks really unprofessional if they're 1000*600 ...

Re: Could not find any available licenses

Hi supermassive,
what do you see if you go to your Octane live page?
https://render.otoy.com/account/octanelive.php
Have you already tried to delete the otoy.credentials in ../Users/Username/Library/OctaneRender?
Another solution is to deactivate via terminal, you have to go to your Applications ...

I have read it, but I just bought the v3 license yesterday, so I don't have a v2 license, nor am I migrating from or to another version
