Re: Ray epsilon problem

IDK if this is a bug, or feature, but I can't fix in place the "Ray Epsilon" parameter. I set it to 0.000001, then clicking on Studio's viewport - and it goes back to default setting. Any ways to fix it's value?

Have you unchecked "Automatic calculation of kernel ray epsilon" under the General ...

Re: (help needed) Wet fabric on body

Yes! This is exactly what I'm looking for. Can you share this shader, or give a tip how to get same result?

(help needed) Wet fabric on body

I'm trying to put the wet swimsuit on the character. The swimsuit is tight, and stick to the body in some places, and I wonder: is it possible to make these places transparent automatically with shader? Like, the closer the cloth to the body = more transparent it becomes

Re: Troubles with GC RAM available

I think it's not Win10's fault. I had the same issue on Win7.

I've experimented a little: DAZ Studio with empty scene takes 110Mbytes of VRAM. Then I loaded a model to the scene - and Studio "ate" ~620Mbytes.

When I've opened Octane's viewport I saw that I had ~4400Mbytes VRAM available, and ~3600 ...

Re: My Fur Material Shader

I don't know if it's helpful, but: "XYZ to UVW Projection" helps a little. But only if the texture is fully symmetrical, and still not enough.

I know. But it can render them if I'll tick "Preview PR hairs". Maybe there are some tricks to make it work?

Strand-based hairs shader (fur)

Is there any way to make Studio's hairs look like this on octane's renders?

These pictures were rendered with IRay, using a special shader, which making possible to apply the texture to hairs root and tip

I can't attach the shader file here, but I'll share it if you ask.

Re: Carrara's demo plugin

If you have running a newer version of OctanRender than 2.17 for the Studio plugin, it may not work with the Carrara Demo 2.1.7
So what can I do about it?

I have posted a new demo based on Octane Render 4.02: Octane Render for Carrara DEMO 4.02

This version is working, thank you! Even hairs ...
