Hi!
I have the latest version 2 of Octane (2.25 R4) and have just upgraded to C4D R18.. My Octane is not working anymore!
Any ideas?

Re: Displacement + Normal Map Faceting Issue
Have had the same issue.
Except mine isn't to do with scaling. I just cant use Normal maps with displacement AT ALL.
This is very frustrating as this basically makes octane a bit redundant in my opinion.
Kind of wish I'd known about this before I purchased.

Re: Bump or Normal +Displacement channel render issue?!
thank again bepeg4d,
but it really looks to me like the normal is still tiling in your screen grab..
if you try turning off displacement you'll see how the normal is supposed to appear.
I did mess around with the ray repulsion thing with no success.
here are 2 screen grabs with a simpler NRM map ...

Re: Bump or Normal +Displacement channel render issue?!
Thanks dude,
unfortunately this is not exactly working as the Normal still produces a 'tiling' artefact when displacement is enabled..
you can see it ore clearly here:

Re: Bump or Normal +Displacement channel render issue?!
gutted,
Guess theres no way to combine Displacement and Normals/bump in Octane...
really wished I'd researched this before purchasing.

Re: Bump or Normal +Displacement channel render issue?!
It seems using different image formats doesn't make a difference at all.
So frustrated with this.

Re: Bump or Normal +Displacement channel render issue?!
Ive been struggling with this too.
I've tried the mix material 'trick' but still getting bizarre tiling/artefacting with my Normal map when displacement is used..
Has anyone actually figured out how to do this?
has version 3 fixed this?
