Re: help with multi gpu expansion rig?
If you aleready have motherboard with enough slots and capable PSU, buying new bigtower case would be cheapest solution. Even $100 case like Corsair 500r or can cool 3-4 cards. Just install two additional 140mm side intake fans (default 200mm fan is useless). One note, some bigger motherboards will ...

Re: What am I missing here??!
I have a 2 month old baby and can't afford to drop another $500 into a better video card.
I can imagine hundreds options where money could be spent. But after 12 months of using Octane and considering all associated investments into mobo + GPU + powersource i find it worth every penny. Iam savy ...

Re: My own room/studio
Yes the first picture is new one. As said its work in progress. I will change sofa and office chairs later. For final render i will add variety of books and other details. I was surprised by short render times (compared to other interiors i did).

Hello leblanc,
while GTS450 is low-end card (approximetly 1/3 in power of gtx580 which majority of people posting here use) I see problem on material/render settings side. Front lights material is too emissive causing lot of fireflies. Placing few invisible lights (lightbanks) around card could ...

My own room/studio
First draft of my old room at parents flat which will be used as homeoffice and once in a while as bedroom. I have tried to achieve maximal funcionality and visual impact with low budget on 12m2.

Re: HDRI Firefly
It is probably caused by strong sunlight from behind camera, let it cook longer and fireflies will start to disappear. Cechk this tutorial http://render.otoy.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=21&t=878. And try to use set hotpixel_removal value between 0.4-0.75. 200samples/pixel is too few, you will need ...
