Hello Guys,
I have a few AOVs which are very very slow to render or write at the end of the beauty pass.
Once the beauty is over is takes ages to finish it/unfreeze.
Is there any settings to tweak ?
Are the aovs rendered after the beauty ?
thanks

Re: Image sequence on material = SLOW
tricks : i have changed the maya evaluation mode in the preferences (from parallel to DG).
It works much better

Image sequence on material = SLOW
Hello guys, i had this problem before, any time expression or keyframes applied to an image sequence plugged to an octaneTextureEmission = huge drop of viewport performance..
Why is that ? is there any way to skip evaluation of these node for the viewport ? When the object is hidden the viewport ...

Re: specular glass and motion blur = flicking
Ok i found the problem, very simple.
There's an overlap or very close distance between the specular mesh and a solid diffuse base/fixation.
Adding some distance between them fixed it. RayEpsilon could have been an other parameter to deal with i guess if there's any existing gap.

Re: specular glass and motion blur = flicking
thanks for your answer, i will try your recommandation now.
However, the deactivation of motion blur work seemed to attenuate the flickering on one shot but absolutely not on other shots.
See attachment video.
cheers

specular glass and motion blur = flicking
Hi,
Motion blur causes flickering in complex specular material (glass simple, no scatter).
No motion blur (shutter speed = 0) and no more problem.
Which parameter to deal with to get rid of this flicking ? i d like to keep the mb effect, or at least understand better.
Cheers

open log window in render settings
Hi,
Open the octane log window is great, but nothing is showing up, only "start blabal logging, licence blabla"
Why is that ? I m workin rendering batch rendering.
Cheers

Crash - access violation
Hi guys,
The batch render randomly crash (from maya menu or command line with bat). I need some help to figure out where i could fix that.
Here is the main and recurrent crash log title :
Exception code: C0000005: ACCESS_VIOLATION - illegal read at address 0x00000018
Fault address: 1C7A1361 in C ...

Re: Radial noise
Very cool it works thank you !
Despite the seam it s perfect. I guess with a mask and mix texture we could deal with that.
Different and same subject, i m trying to get the perfect radial anisotropy and found out the best tutorial about it :
