I've just updated my V4 License to 2021 annual plan, and installed Octane 2021.1.4 and SU plugin 2021.1.4 as well.
I run Windows 11, Sketchup 2020 and one RTX A2000.

However, I'm pretty lost into the new SU plugin layout.

This is what I get : apparently no gradient is showing up

I guess you are using Direct Lighting AO, I would suggest to use Path trace or PMC instead or Direct Lighting diffuse to have indirect light. Also if you really want to use DL AO reduce the AO distance, I guess you are using 3 (default) reduce it to 2.
Your walls are glossy, probably to much, use ...

Default specular material with a gradient PNG loaded in the Transparency alpha channel works pretty well too.
