This topic isn´t related to octane c4d.
I´m wondering how I get so smooth and large gradient reflection as shown in the screenshot attached.
The diffusor create a real large gradient at the cylindric object.

Any idea how to archive this effect in 3D?
Trying to rebuild this setup ...

Running the octane bench is no problem.

I have two ZOTAC 1080 Ti (ZT-P10810B-10P) and installed the nvidia driver 26.21.14.4128 (Nvidia 441.28).
My OS System is Windows 10 Home.

I have two 1080ti and I´m using Version 4.05-R6.

Since my last big project (full usage of vram) I get the message even in small scenes.


What does it mean exactly?

Is it possible to project one big image across all clones?

I´m trying to create these shaders from the Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini.

The first is the front material
It´s a real thin foliage under the coat layer.
I marked the hue shift. Looks like an anisotropy effect for me.

The second one is the backmaterial which looks like a mixture of ...

I installed octane on machine B.
Machine A is not running anymore (formatted).

When I try to start octane on machine B I get the error message attached.

How can I solve the problem?

In my opinion, the benefits of a m.2 far outweigh the hit you would take on lanes. It is my understanding that most of us in most cases could work at 8x or even 4x on all GPUs and never even notice. And that only beasts that render animations full-time really need 16x on all GPUs.

Hmmm.. I just checked mine (2011-3 with i7-5820k), and both of my 980Ti Hybrids are showing 8x in NVidia Control Panel > System Information... So maybe yours is running at 8x / 8x / 4x...
